As Western Europe’s tallest building, The Shard gives visitors stunning panoramic views of London and beyond. With animated maps and high-tech displays, a visit to this architectural wonder provides you the chance to experience the capital from a unique bird’s eye view.
Your journey to the top of the Shard begins in a ‘kaleidoscopic’ lift that uses video screens and mirrors to create a high speed thrill ride towards the skies. Once you reach the summit, you will find a range of exhibits, plus interactive touchscreen telescopes that help you to explore London’s huge cityscape in both daylight and night-time hours.
Whenever you visit, braving the Shard’s open air viewing platform is an absolute must. Situated 244 metres above the ground, it’s almost twice as high as any other vantage point in London, offering spectacular 360 degree views across the city for up to 40 miles.
