    Appreciate the richness of history, knowing that a cathedral has stood on this spot for 1400 years. The present cathedral building was entirely cleaned and restored for its 300th anniversary in 2011.

    Descend down to the crypt which houses the tombs and memorials of some of the nation’s greatest heroes. Admiral Lord Nelson and the Duke of Wellington are both entombed here.

  • St Paul’s Cathedral Closures 2019

    Please note that the cathedral is not open for sightseeing on Sundays.

    The cathedral opens for sightseeing at 08.30 Monday to Saturday. Last admission to the cathedral is at 16.00. Once inside the cathedral, access to the Whispering, Stone and Golden Galleries is from 09.30 – 16.15. The cathedral closes for sightseeing at 16.30. The café, restaurant and shop close at 17.00.
