Amongst all the historic and modern-day skyscrapers and buildings within the great city of London, the last thing you'd expect to find would be a farm! But incredibly there are many to discover in the city, so if you love your animals or want to enjoy some fresh produce, why not visit these fantastic farms. You can get around London to see this bit of countryside in the city, on our hop-on, hop-off tours.
Spitalfields City Farm

Based between Whitechapel and Bethnal Green, Spitalfields City Farm aims to promote animal care and best practices in welfare, whilst providing information on farming practices in a lovely setting within the East of London. The farm has an educational workshop as well as a cute tea hut specialising in great coffee and locally, ethically sourced food and produce. if you've not done your weekly shop, never fear, you can buy fresh seasonal farm vegetables, fruit, herbs, eggs, honey, jams, chutneys, plants and seedlings, so you can go all out with your farming experience! Surrey Docks Farm

A stone's throw away from the financial district of London, Canary Wharf, sits Surrey Docks Farm. Whether you want to see ducks or cows or sheep, you can enjoy all your well-known farm animals within the beautiful 2.2-acre site on the south bank of the River Thames in Rotherhithe. The farm works with local communities and the people of Southwark to provide many unique opportunities for them to learn about farming, food production, and be actively involved in the ongoing working life of the farm. With a herb garden, orchard, dye garden, vegetable plots, wildlife area, education programmes and a farm shop you'll be sure to discover something you love! Kentish Town City Farm

If you're exploring North London on your sightseeing adventures of London, pay a visit to the picturesque Kentish Town City Farm. The farm is a community charity that helps city people connect with animals, nature and the environment, and is home to approximately 50 animals. The farm offers a whole host of activities including a Pottery Club, Cook-n-Eat on a Budget, Garden Club, Pony Rides as well as an extensive educational programme. Vauxhall City Farm

From the North, we head to the South of London and to Vauxhall City Farm. This cute farm specialises in educational, recreational and therapeutic services and activities ranging from school trips, workshops, gardening projects to birthday parties and riding lessons. The programmes and its activities focus on supporting disadvantaged and disabled people to boost their confidence and aspirations, as well as promoting emotional, mental, social and physical well-being. The farm also has an active role in its activities to develop environmental awareness and action, strengthen community cohesion and create enjoyment for members of the public.
